Hallo-Wacky-Weensday

Here we are...can you tell which one is me? (Click on it, I dare ya)

Could you take this man serious as your coach? ha ha. My favorite part was when he kicked the football players out of the gym during our practice. I said, "Bob is over there trying to intimidate those guys while wearing a DRESS!!" What a sport. Good times.

Birthday Fun

25 on the 25th of October. Wow, I use to think 25 seemed so old, and now I'm there and its a little surreal. Like Wayne says, I'm a speed limit. Yikes. I don't think I paid to much attention to 23 & 24, so I'm a little shocked that 25 is here, but what can I do...enjoy it I guess. I better start paying attention to my age, because I seriously feel like I'm too young to be 25. ha ha... Like look at this picture taken of me yesterday...I look 13! I know there are people out there saying that I'm crazy, because 25 is NOT old, but then there are those out there thinking, yea 25 is old!!! Age is a crazy concept, so I'll stop there!

Any how I had a great birthday, I played volleyball...which is what I REALLY wanted to do, even though I play practically every day of the week, it was still number one on my wish list, and I was even hooked up with two league teams in the process! Whahoo! Then Wayne and I met my parents and family in provo for dinner at one of my favorite restaurants...Tacanos, a little shopping....Which I have a thought on that...

We went into abercrombie and immediately we were smacked in the face with the overwhelming sent of perfume..which gave us both instata-headaches...then I was reminded of a thought I had after seeing one of their billboards with a 3/4 naked man. "It doesn't make a lot of sense to me that all their adds, and pictures in their stores have 3/4 to 7/8 naked pictures of men and women in them. They are a clothing store for HEAVENS SAKE!!! What are they thinking!!!" Seriously I needed to get some more smell goods at Victoria's Secret, and it was more awkward walking through abercrombie with my husband than it was in Victoria's.

Then we went home and rented the Ultimate Gift...which was a birthday miracle because I received it for free!!! Who knew you got a free movie rental on your birthday? Thanks Hollywood Vid...sorry I don't rent from you any more thanks to red box. It was a pretty good show, it has a good message and now I want to read the book, because I'm sure its even better. (Jamie can you believe I just said that??)

So I had a great day, thanks to my awesome husband. He always makes sure to make my birthday a special day, even though at one point all I wanted to do was vacuum my carpet with my new VACUUM! It was quite rewarding though, I've been wanting a good vacuum for years and years. Thanks Wayne!

Goin' Home

Wayne and I were finally able to make it out to Neola for a nice three day weekend. Its been almost four months since I was there last, and a lot has changed. My parents doubled the size of the pond in the back yard and added an island for the ducks, purchased a four wheeler and added a side lawn to their already ginormaous yard. It was fun to see all the changes, and Wayne had lots of fun dreaming up his adventure for next summer. I'll just let you know it involves the pond, the four wheeler, PVC pipe, large intertubes and his wakeboard. I'm just excited to tape it, because I'm banking that we'll have some great footage to send into AFV and Country Fried Videos.

Me & my good Neola buddy Marleigh...We've been friends since the day she was born. I'm pretty sure I've been her friend longer than anyone else....besides family of course.

Aside from chillin with family, one of my favorite parts of going home is going to church in my home ward. I love the feelings I have when I see the friends I grew up with, and all my leaders and teachers from nursery up to young womens. There is just something special about being surrounded by all those great people that helped me to become the person I am today. (Especially my YW president...you know who you are ;) It is kind of crazy to see the little kids, that were literally babies when I was there, and now their passing the sacrament and going into young womens. It hits me how old I really am, even though I still feel like I was just a young woman myself...and that I'm not old enough to be teaching them. Crazy. I'm so grateful for growing up in Neola, even though I never thought I would say that. I look back and really appreciate the opportunities I had, the friends I love and the things I learned growing up in a small town. I am always amazed at how that great town pulls together and helps each other out when tragedy stikes. It is truely a humbling experience to see how they serve one another. I still remember how much people did for my family when my Grandma died, I will never forget the love they showed my family. I love living in the Salt Lake Valley, but that is one thing I really miss, the closeness you feel to those around you.

Cottonwood Volleyball

So my life right now pretty much involves 3 things...Wayne (fun), Work (not fun) & Coaching Volleyball (fun).

I coach Volleyball at Cottonwood High School, and I absolutely LOVE IT! It is definitely my dream job, and I'm soooooo blessed to be able to do it. Cottonwood is the most perfect program for me to be at. The girls are amazing...on and off the court. The other coaches are awesome, and I learn so much from them. And heck the school colors are even gold and black...just like Union, my HS alma madder! So I feel just at home. So we are having an awesome season thus far, and I'm so excited for the rest of it. We are 19-5 on the season and 7-1 in Region, currently ranked 4th in 4-A! The most amazing part about our starters consist of 1 Junior and 5 sophomores!! So they'll be around for a while.

We have so much fun and I love every minute I get to spend with the girls! I'll keep you posted on how our season ends up. If you're in the Salt Lake valley and you want to come to a game, let me know I'll send you the schedule. That is one thing we need more of....FANS in the STANDS!

UTAH 31 oregon st. 28

My friend Dari and I after the game

Just in case any of you are wondering what we're singing at the games. (Okay okay I only know the last line, but I do a pretty convincing mumble through the rest of it:)...Whoever thought I would be proud of referring to myself as a MAN??? ha ha.

"UTAH MAN"

VERSE
I am a Utah man, sir, and I live across the green.
Our gang, it is the jolliest that you have ever seen.
Our coeds are the fairest and each
one's a shining star.

Our yell, you hear it ringing through
 the mountains near and far.

CHORUS
Who am I, sir? A Utah man am I A Utah man, sir, and will be till I die; Ki!Yi!
We're up to snuff; we never bluff,
We're game for any fuss,
No other gang of college men
dare meet us in the muss.
So fill your lungs and sing it out and
shout it to the sky,
We'll fight for dear old Crimson,
for a Utah man am I.

VERSE
And when we prom the avenue, all lined up in a row,
And arm in arm and step in time as down
the street we go.
No matter if a freshman green, or in a senior's gown,
The people all admit we are the warmest
gang in town.

CHORUS

VERSE
We may not live forever on this jolly good old sphere,
But while we do we'll live a life of
merriment and cheer,
And when our college days are o'er and
night is drawing nigh,

With parting breath we'll sing that song:
"A Utah Man Am I".

CHORUS

GO UTES!!!!!
